Papers of Bernard P. Way [manuscript] 1800-1937.

The collection, 1852-97, contains 10 ledgers of Isaac N. Dickson, a physician of Baltimore, Md. There are medical daybooks of patients, treatments and charges, and personal account books. A list of library books and laboratory equipment is included. The volumes were reused as scrapbooks in the 1930s. The collection also contains a Rockingham Co. Court Execution Book, 1856-80, a shipping agent's manifest book, 1879-80, a music copy book, ca. 1800, and assorted loose papers that include a roster of Co. E, 35th battalion, C. S. A. cavalry, poems and essays by Martha White Williamson, manuscripts, 1909-20, by Mary Lynn Harrison Williamson, business correspondence and advertising circulars, 1906-11, of H. W. Martz, of Broadway, Va., accounts, 1839-40, of store owner Hugh Bruffy with wholesale dealers, account book, 1847-50, of the Greencastle Literary Association, accounts, 1858-64, of Sprinkle and Co., Harrisonburg, Va. and miscellaneous correspondence including a U. Va. student letter, 1868, and an 1892 letter regarding a bill in the House of Delegates.
